SKIPPERED CHARTER

SeaScape is perfect boat for a skippered charter, and sailing the Sea of Cortez and the islands near La Paz.

SeaScape is the most comfortable of boats, with a large separate cabin in the stern with a queen-sized berth and its own separate head and shower. There is also another shower on the swim step. Seascape has five other berths available in two cabins. The forward head/shower has two doors and is shared by the two cabins.

In addition to the 2-person kayaks and the Boston Whaler with a 20 HP Honda outboard motor, SeaScape has a lot of extras. She is the best equipped charter sailboat in the Sea of Cortez for fishing, with four rods and two rod holders on the stern. We can furnish you with either one or two kayaks equipped to fish off of. Of course you can fish off of the Whaler too. We will send you a special email to explain to you how to always catch fish when you charter. A large hammock is available that can be hung between the head stay and the main mast for a restful nap.. There is a cellular telephone with the antenna on the mizzen mast. SeaScape has a satellite radio that is Sirius and IPod equipped. It will also play your favorite CD’s.

The galley has both an ice box and a front loading refrigerator. We also put an ice chest with ice aboard. SeaScape has two fresh water tanks of 170 and 45 gallons each. In addition up to 30 gallons of purified drinking water is placed aboard. There is a saltwater pump in the galley to rinse off dishes to save water.

The center cockpit gives the most comfortable ride of any sailboat. Her wide beam provides unexpected room both on deck and down below. While SeaScape is 41', her interior space is more than most 45' boats.

If you are thinking of chartering in the summer time, Seascape has 16 ports and four hatches. In addition there are two walk-ins from the center cockpit. There are 5 fans. Each bunk has its own, while the two in the main cabin do double duty. She also has a fiberglass headliner that gives 1 1/2" to 2" of dead airspace between the headliner and the deck. In addition we have wind scoops for the hatches and sunscreens to hank on to the bimini.

For the winter time, if it is really blowing, there is a plastic window, with side curtains, that attaches on to the bimini converting it into a dodger.

Everything is furnished, bedding, towels, paper products and all soaps etc. The only thing you have to do is provision which we can help you with.

SeaScape is a very easy boat to sail, since she is a ketch with 3 sails. You can sail her yourself, as much as you want. We will show you how to anchor. In one case, I had a charter who had never sailed before, but who learned so much that the next year when he came back I let him do a bareboat charter and he has done a total of three!

The skipper sleeps on deck or in the hammock. I personally do crewed charters, and I have available several skippers who also do crewed charters for the Moorings. One of these was Mike Rickman and he has done several for us. Go to "Links" and read his fascinating account of a skippered charter he did for Moorings. We can also provide a cook. Most charter skippers can do a limited amount of cooking. We all can barbeque!

Seascape is one beautiful boat, inside and out, and carefully and devotedly maintained. We are proud of her teak interior and teak and holly floor. All the cushions were recently reupholstered. You will also be proud to spend your vacation aboard a boat designed for fun and comfort.

FOR AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NOT EVER FORGET, CHARTER SEASCAPE
