Description:

Seashell Our 1998 Chevrolet class "C" 24' motorhome by Fleetwood

Seashell was purchased for our personal use. We travel the United States and Canada from June until October, and Seashell is available from the 15th of October to the 15th of May. The best time to rent a motorhome is during these months as the weather is great and not too hot. The class "C" 24' motorhome is the most popular rental motorhome in the world, and designed for comfortable living and travel.

Seashell has a lot of extras that we have added to "customize" it, especially for Mexico. There are conveniently located RV parks with hook-ups on the Cape Route, but Seashell is especially equipped for dry-camping on isolated beaches.

Seashell has these factory-installed equipment & options:

Chevrolet F 350 engine, hydraulic disc brakes, automatic transmission and cruise-control, auxiliary start circuit, 6-gallon water heater, propane cabin heater, Coleman 13.5 air conditioner, Onan 4.0KW generator, Dometic refrigerator & freezer, 3-burner range, a oven and microwave oven . There is a 55-gallon gas tank. There is a 37-gallon fresh water tank. Seashell has a 30-gallon gray water holding tank and a 30-gallon water holding tank for black water. The LPG tank is 14-gallons.

These are the things that we have added:
    A Fantastic "create-a-breeze" ceiling fan.
Most of the lights have been changed to fluorescent( twice the light with 1/2 the power usage).
A reading light over the rear bed.
A 50-watt solar panel with a voltameter to help keep the batteries charged.
    An Everpurer water treatment system.
A CD player and radio over the table.
    A TV with a VCR.
Four house deep cell batteries instead of one.
Pergo floor throughout (easy for sweeping out the sand).
An exterior ladder, roof railing and awning.
    An extra transmission cooler.
A 40-gallon roof mounted extra water tank and roof eyes for tying on the kayaks and other equipment.
A 300 watt inverter, useful for 110v items that don't require the generator.

In addition to these items, we have varnished all of the woodwork with five coats of varnish.

Seashell sleeps six persons in 3 separate beds (the table converts to a double). The over the cab is queen sized. The motorhome is furnished with bedding, towels & linen. The kitchen is complete with dishes, pots & pans, and silverware and knives. We supply all soaps, paper products including aluminum foil & saran wrap.

When we pick you up, the beds are made, the water and gas tanks will be full. We will even have fresh orange juice in the refrigerator along with coffee and pastries!
