SeaFortuna is a 38' Luhr's cruising power boat with sports fishing capabilities. She has sleeping accommodations for 7 persons in three separate areas. More than five other persons can sleep on air mattresses in the cockpit, bridge deck and the large forward deck.

A unique feature of SeaFortuna is the amount of room on the bridge deck (9 1/2'x 8'). In addition to the skipper's chair, there is comfortable seating for five adults. Very few cruisers this size have such a large bridge deck. This is a great place to ride when you are cruising because of the great viewing area. The bridge deck has its own bimini.

The cockpit is 9 1/2'x 12', equal in size to that of a much larger boat. The coaming has been specially padded so that you can sit completely around the cockpit. There is a permanent fishing chair as well as a movable one, and a large bait tank and ice chest.  On the stern is a swim step with a shower and swim ladder. There is another bimini just for the cockpit.

The main cabin has a C-shaped galley with propane stove, microwave oven and built-in refrigerator. On the port side next to the galley is built-in seating that converts to a bed. On the starboard side is seating for four, with a table that can be converted to a sleeping berth. The radio/CD player is Sirus satellite radio equipped. The cabin sole is teak & holly. Teak wood is used generously through out. All upholstery and coverings are new. The air conditioning system(and heater) is a 16,000 BTU Webasto which really cools all of the interior of SeaFortuna. It runs on 110 volts so the generator must be on( or on shore power at the dock).

Down below are three compartments.  The master stateroom is in the bow, and on the starboard side is a sleeping compartment with two bunks, the lower one expandable almost to a double.  Portside is an electric head and large shower.

Everything on SeaFortuna has been completely redone, rewired, refinished and refurnished.  I was fortunate to find skilled Mexican craftsmen who worked with great care to make the boat as beautiful and comfortable as possible. SeaFortuna has twin 3208 V8 185 horsepower Caterpillar diesels with V drives. At an 8-knot cruising speed she uses only three gallons of fuel per hour, and with a fuel capacity of 365 gallons she has a cruising range of over 700 miles. At the end of July, diesel fuel in Mexico was $2 per gallon.

There is an 8 horsepower Yanmar diesel generator with over 500 amp/hours of house batteries. There are three water tanks which hold over 250 gallons of fresh water.

SeaFortuna is an ideal boat for fishing, sight-seeing, cruising, and diving. She is fitted out for cruising with the extra option as a first class fishing boat with outriggers (she once was a sport fishing boat in Cabo). SeaFortuna is, to my knowledge, the only power bare boat available of this size in Baja.
