SeaSirena is a 34' Cal sloop
SeaSirena was acquired by Seascape Charters in the summer of 2007 to provide the most economical bareboat charter sailboat in the Sea of Cortez, yet be able to provide accommodations for up to four adults to spend a week’s charter out to the islands from La Paz.
SeaSirena, and the other Cal 34's, were designed by famed yacht designer Bill Lapworth to be fast and comfortable. He is noted for the design of the Cal 40, which still does great in the Transpacs (from California to Hawaii). This led to a smaller boat - the Cal 34. Unlike SeaScape our Morgan 41 “Out Island" ketch, she really sails fast. While most of the Cal's were built by Jensen in Costa Mesa, California, SeaSirena was built in Florida.
When we are through (Projected to be available for charter in February 2009) we will be redoing, repainting, varnishing, and upgrading EVERYTHING. New cushions, lots of new teak, etc.

The engine is a 25 horsepower Westerbeke diesel. The windlass is a bronze Simpson-Lawrence manual. The jib has Profurl roller furling.
You have your choice of dingys with either an inflatable or a 10' Livingston with a six hp outboard. You can even take a two person kayak if that is your desire. |
