Links to help you during your Sailboat Charter in Baja

There are many links for La Paz, Baja, Sea of Cortez and sailing. I have chosen these that I hope will enhance the pleasure of your charter. Most of them have additional links to give you nearly all the links available for the Baja peninsula.

http://www.clubcruceros.org
This is a club for cruisers, former cruisers and gringos who live in La Paz. They sponsor a club house, rallies, and dinners and have a foundation that has a breakfast program for underprivileged children in the barrios. Lots of information and some good links. Tom has put the pictures of the Sealion in the kayak that we sent him. They are the son and his girl friend of a charter from Australia that we had in   January 2007. Tom on "Double Eagle” does an excellent job.

This website is done by a Roberto Serrano who lives in Mexico City.  Roberto just loves La Paz and has a condo in Costa Baja, the super marina.  Be sure and go here as Roberto and his family just did a charter on SeaScape  and wrote it up on his website. Click here.

http://www.vivalapaz.com
This has a lot of information and maps of La Paz and the Cabo area. This is considered the website for la Paz.

http://www.bajainsider.com.
A lot of information on the whole southern peninsula. The webmaster is an American who lives in Baja and really works on keeping it current. It is  well worth going to and in fact you may want to subscribe (free) as it is one  of the  best.

This is an article that is in the Insider, which tells of a crewed charter by Mike Rickman for the Moorings. He is a friend of ours and has done a couple of charters for us. Please read this, as I believe it will make your charter more fulfilling. Lots of good information.

An excellent article on Isla( island) Espirito Santo and Partida which is where you will spend most of your time in a one week charter.

A Canadian bareboat charterer in February 2001 writes about his charter with the moorings. This is an excellent article.

While a lot of the other sites have a lot of good links, this one has many more. A man by the name of Dick does it.

http://eebmike.com
This is the best site for weather in La Paz and the Baja.  Mike is a friend of mine, and has helped me on my computer & Seascape.

http://www.eleytheria.us.
This site is by Abe & Amy, with whom I met when they were in La Paz. They have chosen the cruising life with their 44'Kelly/Peterson. Very well done and has excellent links. It was last updated in April 2006

http://www.latitude38.com
This is the best sailing rag by far in the USA. It is primarily for the San Francisco bay area.  The changes in the ‘Lattitude’ section has letters from cruisers, who are cruising all over the world. They sponsor the Baja Ha Ha, the yearly get-together for sailboats that come down to the Baja from San Diego. They have an excellent links page.
